At the NLB Language School (a trading name of NLB Co. Ltd., a company operating under Thai law) Dutch is taught, students are actively (verbally) engaged in the lessons by our qualified Dutch teacher. Therefore, computers are not used during the lessons, as the NLB Language School believes that this often passive way of teaching Dutch produces lower results than the (inter-)active teaching that it offers.
This website provides information for people who want to learn Dutch in Bangkok, Thailand or for those who want to prepare themselves for the Civic Integration examination Abroad.
People wishing to only learn Dutch and who do not want to study for the Civic Integration Examination Abroad please send an email and you will get an answer as soon as possible about our other courses.
The Dutch government will increase the academic level of the “Toets Gesproken Nederland” (the verbal examination of the ability to speak Dutch, part of the Civic Integration Examination Abroad) to be on par with the A1 level determined by the CEFR (Common European Framework of Reference for Languages). It is expected that these plans will take effect as of December 1, 2010.
It is furthermore expected that, most probably as of March 1, 2011, a written examination on par with the abovementioned A1 level will be added to the Civic Integration Examination Abroad. Aforementioned plans will still need to be approved by the “Ministerraad” (council of Ministers) and “Raad van State” (legislative, advisory organ of the Dutch Government).
The Dutch government, provided these plans will be introduced, will compose study materials in order for students/applicants to properly prepare for this increased language test. These study materials will be provided in addition to the current examination package “Naar Nederland”, which solely prepares students/applicants on the part of the examination which focuses on (basic) knowledge of the Dutch society.

Candidiates are shown a picture book (the picture book is contained in the examination package "Naar Nederland"). The picture book contains 100 images from the film "Coming to the Netherlands". There is a question about each photograph. Part 1 of the examination consists of 2 sample questions and 30 questions from the picture book.
This part of the examination tests the candidates knowledge of the Dutch language. They will judge the candidates on their pronunciation, fluency, sentence structure and vocabulary. In this part of the examination the candidate will have to:
