My experience with Richard van der Kieft (Nederlandse taal)

I have been having a private lesson on Dutch Language with Richard van der Kieft since August 2005. I study 3 times a week, and it goes for 2 hours each time. That means I have 6 hours of Dutch language lesson each week. Dutch is my 3rd language that I have learnt. Based on my own experience, I think one on one is the best strategy of learning language. The teacher has a chance to focus on only you, and 100% of opportunity is yours for interaction with questions and explanations.

Richard has been a very supportive, friendly, and well prepared in the class. He is educated and with lots of information to share, I can then also discuss with him about many things aside the language thingy in both English and Dutch.

Richard is certainly a part of my success with the exam at the Royal Netherlands Embassy. "You are a star!!!, and keep your good work, mate". That is what I want to tell him.

First I would like to say "Thank you Richard" for helping me pass the Civic Intergration Examination with out any problems and get high score. I have been learning Dutch in Den Haag before I met Richard. I would say it's doesn't help me much. Since I come to join with his class it's not only in lesson he also teach me about Dutch socities and many thing about Holland. Richard he has a very specials style that why make me and another student feel very comfortable. I believe if you enjoing in class without shaming to speak Dutch.that could make you learn so fast. An other thing I can see he were teaching student with his heart. That why all student love him. You are my best teacher.

Before I have met Richard I cant understand dutch at all no matter how hard I tried. Since I started the first lesson with him he gave me many techinque of understanding this language and it's "wonderful".I'd never ever understand dutch if I didnt study with Richard.He is a super teacher!!!

First of all, I'd like to thank Richard for helping me pass the Civic Integration Examination without any problem. I started learning Dutch with him a few months ago from a complete beginner's level. His teaching style made me feel comfortable with the langague within a very short time and made me feel that Dutch is not as difficult as I first expected. He is a very dedicated, supportive and well-prepared teacher. I would recommend him for anyone interested in learning Dutch in Bangkok. Thanks again my favorite teacher!

Learning with Richard

I have learned Dutch for about 8 hours.

I went one week 1 time.

Before I didn't knew the Dutch language.

Now that I started to learn with Richard I can talk Dutch a little bit.

And that in only 10 hours!

He is a very good teacher.

Hoi, ik heet Aisoon en ik kom uit Thailand.

Ik leef en studeer nu in delft. Although with only a month worth of lesson, I have managed to learn Dutch with much ease, due to Richard's simple approach in teaching this very difficult language with a friendly and relaxed manner. I am sure that there are very few farang teachers out there in the city of angels whom you can really get to know as a friend, as well as having much knowledge about holland culture and people. People looking for a dutch teacher in bkk need not waste anymore time searching, there is only one teacher you will need (and enjoy)- Richard. Good luck !

I need to learn Dutch language because of I want to living with the person that I want to spent my life with and I also want to improvement myself by working in the kingdom of Netherlands. To stayed in the Netherlands is not easy and lots of document to prepared before enter country but the first thing that we want to do is looking for someone who had experience and lots of knowledge-based skills to teaching Dutch language in BKK. And finally we found him " Mr. Richard van der Kieft". He is flexible, and friendly and lots of enthusiastic when he taught student and he also a lot of knowledge about Holland. I thought that is his's strengths point. So, my class is not boring at all and I never lazy to study with him even though quite traffic from Chonburi to BKK and of course, he is certainly a part of my success with the civic integration examination.

I just finished the class from him on jan 16 2008 but hehe i can pass it. Ik ben heel blij. If you are looking for school for learn dutch i can say this is the good place for you all. Hij is een goede leraar, aardig en vriendelijk. He has a very good way of teaching. I have learned a lot from Richard and it would be nice if you can learn with him then you will know what you can get, not only the thing from the examination also about Dutch culture.:)
